It's very hard to know who to go to when you're about to have building work done. I found ADR through Facebook and recommendations on there. From the moment Alex came in to speak to us regarding the project we wanted undertaking, he put us at ease with his knowledge, which is a big plus for us.

From the moment we hired them, going through with Emma what we wanted and discussions to have the extension done and the house renovated we knew where we were with costs and pricing of the whole project. In fact there were elements of the project that were included in the price that we had not realized were within the quote, bonus.

From day 1 of starting our project to the last day, we were kept informed of what would happen and within what sort of time scale, who was coming in on what days and if for any reason no one would be in , we knew.

We remained living within the property, but moved virtually everything into storage, but they still managed to leave us a make shift kitchen, no quibbles at all and worked around it, not always easy to do.

Every single person who worked on the project, from Nick the foreman, to those who worked for ADR and those sub contracted in, knew what they were doing and finished our project to a high standard. They were all very friendly and always took the time to chat and solve any little issues.

We are so impressed with the finish of our extension and complete renovation, and those that have been round to visit and even some neighbours who have come in to see have been really impressed. We cannot recommend ADR Contractors highly enough and certainly have done to anyone who has asked.

My husband has worked in construction, groundworks and is someone who is very hard to impress. ADR construction has managed to do just that at every step.

We partnered with ADR back in June 2022 to help us realise the dream of converting our run down and unloved 5 bed detached Edwardian home into a modern family home. We bought the house back in July 2020 and it’s fair to say that little work had been done by the previous owners over the past 70 years and if it had it was generally a bodge job.

I met Emma, Alex and their build team headed by Nick purely by chance as they were working around the corner on a similar property but converting it to flats, a friendly conversation was struck up and Alex and Nick later visited me to see the scale of the project.

The project itself included the total re-roofing of the property and internal steel work and strengthening to remove all the purlins and to lay a framework of 9inch timbers to strengthen in preparation for a future loft extension, a two storey back extension to square up the house with a further single storey 5*11 metre kitchen extension and build up to DPC the side garage and downstairs bathroom extension.

We had done all the drawings ourselves so most builders would have run a country mile, however Alex and Nick were extremely patient, knowledge, professional and more than happy to accommodate us which was no mean feat as due to a lack of technical drawings the project was very fluid on a day to day basis.

The guys were with us for nearly 6 months and a genuine friendship was struck up, it’s not easy inviting a team of people into your daily lives for that long of a period, with four young children and a very affectionate chocolate lab life is extremely busy and to destroy the entire house and live in it at the same time can send stress levels through the roof, however the team were easy to get along with and daily banter between the team (particularly Nick and Jake) and myself acted as a pressure release valve for all involved.

We’re still actively working on the property and expect it’ll take a further few years to complete but the work which ADR did for us was done to a high standard and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for future projects, well that’s if I’m silly enough to move and do it all again.

Alex, Emma, Nick and the entire team have made my renovations a smooth experience.

 

They are knowledgeable, considerate and supportive. My entire ground floor was made open plan with steels, new kitchen, cloakroom.

 

Then outside with lovely porcelain slabs for patio and pathways laid by Nick and Jake. They then left everything clean and tidy.
 

I cannot recommend them highly enough. Even Jasper the dog was won over.

We engaged ADR to do a garage conversion for us, we were looking for a home office space, but also a space that the family could make use of out of hours.

 

I cannot rate them highly enough, from the initial quotation phase to the build, they have been brilliant, always communicating with us, discussing how to overcome any issues with the build, handling the building inspections and getting final sign off.

 

Their staff are very conscientious about the fact they are working around a living space, and always left the site clean and tidy at the end of every day.

 

Any future work we undertake we will definitely be using them, they brought the project in on time and within our budget, even though they were facing spiraling materials costs, they honoured their original quote to us.

We are really pleased with the completed work, it looks brilliant and is really well finished. It has received very complimentary comments from all who have seen it.

All the people who have works on our first floor bathroom extension and Porch, have been friendly and accommodating and have coped with Paddy (the dog) - especially Steve and Jake.

ADR Contractors went above and beyond with my loft conversion.

 

Alex and his men carried out the whole project from organising the design to all the building work to a very high standard. No problem was to big when I wanted to make changes and couldn't believe how quick the project was completed.

 

Would highly recommend and will definitely use for any future building I need.

We had a 3m x 5m extension put on the back of our house by ADR Contractors.

We had a few consultations with other companies, but we went with Alex as he seemed really committed to the work, his price was reasonable, and the communication, un-pushy and professionalism from management & thorough, detailed plans actually made us jump at the chance.
 

We were given a timeline of the project, which we thought was extremely optimistic, but it was followed to the dot. It became very clear to us that everybody involved, from brick laying to plumbing, not only knew exactly what they were meant to be doing, but worked relentlessly.
 

They also parked & entered (not always conveniently) the site where we'd requested, as we'd been nervous to infringe on our neighbors. The communication between field was second to none. At the end of each day, I would be informed as to who would be arriving the next- by name, profession and arrival time. It was really apparent that communication from management was extremely tight, and coupled with the level of relentless, hard work by all involved was how they were able to complete on our extension in such a remarkable  time frame.
 

I could really trust management, which meant I could trust all involved.

I would recommend this company to absolutely anyone. From my neighbor, to my Nan. We are so delighted by our new space, and cannot thank you enough.

ADR are fantastic- by far the most efficient and professional building firm we have ever dealt with.

 

They are friendly, precise and offer a really top notch service. We had a 2 month project of refurb involving knock through, partition walls, new kitchen, new flooring, new electrics, new plumbing, new windows and doors and decorating.

 

All was carried out with maximum attention to detail and we really had total confidence in all the project management side which was very reassuring.

Working with Alex, Emma and their team has been a pleasure.

 

They constructed a single storey extension, repaired a dangerous gable end, lots of internal works, and landscaped part of the garden including a retaining wall.

 

The work started just as the first lockdown hit with all the potential problems of delays in materials but Alex and Emma were amazing at getting over these hurdles. Our sight was also problematic with no direct road access but again Alex and the team solved this using trailers to deliver materials from their yard to our house.

The entire team is really friendly, incredibly hard working and with everyone currently working at home were respectful to the needs of our neighbours. Thank you, we will definitely have you back for any future projects. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
